Look for various skin rashes around your body

Lyme diseases will affect your body in different ways - both in the different areas it affects as well as differently at different stages of the Lyme.  Where that horrible tick creature bites and penetrates your skin is where the spirochete bacteria enter the body and cause the first lesions on your skin.  The initial sign and lesion will be an expanding reddish rash on your skin.  At this time you may experience what you consider may be the standard "flu"  or "influenza " that we often get at any time in the year.

Lyme Disease is medically described generally in three phases.

  1) Early localized disease

  2) Early disseminated Lyme Disease

there may be hear and nervous system involvement including potentially serious meningitis complications

3) Late disease states featuring motor and sensory nerve damage whitish may include arthritis , rheumatoid arthritis and even more severe brain inflammation - very serious as the inflammation is in the enclosed brain case.   The breathing centers in the midbrain may be catastrophically compressed resulting in death

In the early phases of the disease , the local skin around the bite develops an expanding area of redness.   This may either be in the form of a raised red area or an unraised red area.  Typical times for this to occur are usually within days of the tick bite.   There may additionally be what is called a "bulls- eye " lesion.   This is so called due to the appearance of an  outer ring of brighter redness and a central area of clearing.

It is interesting to note that up to 60 % of Lyme Disease patients have no recollection  of all of the tick bite that results in all of their strategic and volatile health problems.

The patients generally do not feel that well.  They have a general feeling of unwellness or "malaise"   .  They may be tired.  They may be stiff.   They may have a headache.   Their glands may appear to be swollen.

However if this stage is not caught with antibiotic therapy big trouble can result.  The redness will go away.  The patient will think that all is well and have no idea of foreboding.   During this time frame - the spirochete bacteria will spread throughout the Lyme patient's body sowing the deadly seeds of much future trouble and health disabilities.
